Being Halloween my friends and I were really looking forward to the evening. Sadly, it was dreadful! I understand there were supposed to be a group of actors where only one turned up. The whole event was lacking in everything it could lack in……. It wasn't made fun, interesting, there was little attempt from 'Red Herring' to interact with the guests and engage them in the event.

Fortunately the guests who were happy to take part and be characters in the murder mystery ' and there were many of them took part with enthusiasm and tried their best to get into the spirit of the evening. It was very disappointing!

The actress we sent to fulfill our role this weekend was not up to our usual standard and as a result the event did not go as planned. We have been in touch with the hotel and offered a full reimbursement of our costs or the opportunity to use us again free of charge to rectify the experience for their guests.

We've also offered to contact each customer affected directly, however have not as yet been passed the customer details who were impacted by this event. If you would like to email us directly to enable a direct apology and compensation that would be most welcome.

We have always strived for excellent customer experiences and feel very badly let down ourselves by the actress we employed in this instance and would like to make it right for everyone affected. Posted 7 Apr I have never attended a murder mystery event before, other than the evenings hosted at home but enjoyed every minute of the evening in January, hosted by Red Herring Games.

The actors were engaging and funny and knew the script from back to front and the whole evening ran like clockwork. I would definitely attend a Red Herring Games murder mystery evening again! Posted 15 Feb
